Midterm Post
Midterm time and i haven't really put anything up here. Ill try and start with the earlier stuff and get more recent so it looks like i did this over the last couple months.
First project we did was to just draw some A's. We were told to pick a couple out of a group and I have pictures of those.
We've taken notes on names of typography names for the anatomy of letters, so i scanned those in too as a picture.
First big project we did was to make huge letters, I choose different fonts and different letters for each big letter. For that project i sketched out the letters while looking at a smaller version of them. Naturally them became different from my own stylization. The end product was traced by gold. looks sweet in the picture posted.
Besides designing this blog for a project, the last project we did was a bit mapped font, and than a hand drawn alphabet, as well as creating George Kuchar's Font (http://www.dafont.com/fr/kuchar.font).
I had to make e and f, which was easy concidering there as pictures of his handwriting, and those are common letters.
I choose space invaders for the bit-mapped font, and for the hand drawn, i looked at my own handwriting.
I wrote sentences after sentences, and would do quick alphabets before drawing out a bubble letter version of my hand style. I than clipped them out and glued them onto sticky notes which i gathered together on a black piece of paper for displaying.
And now here i am typing this up, and next week ill be snowboarding in Colorado.
